Frequently Asked Questions

How often will my child need therapy/intervention?

Speech/language sessions are typically once or twice a week for blocks of 30/45 minutes based on your child’s age and specific goals.

Reading sessions are typically 45/60 minutes and can be anywhere from once a week to a few times a week depending on your child’s needs.

Note: Every child is different and the above information may vary based on your child’s needs! Sessions may be longer or shorter and the frequency may vary based on your child’s specific goals and unique abilities.

Do you accept insurance?

As an Out-of Network provider, Sharone does not currently accept insurance. However, many insurance companies offer reimbursement for services. Sharone can provide you with the necessary documentation and invoices with the appropriate treatment codes, which you can then submit to your insurance company. Please call your insurance provider and check your coverage information.

Can a parent/caregiver attend a session?

Yes! Parents and caregivers are always welcome to observe or be part of a session. Sessions can also focus on modeling strategies for review and carryover.

Do you provide formal speech and language testing/evaluations?

While Sharone does not currently conduct formal evaluations or testing, Sharone provides informal assessments and can give you a professional opinion regarding your child’s current literacy, language and/or speech skills. Sharone can also tell you if your child would benefit from additional support in any of these areas, or if therapy is not necessary at the time of assessment.
